It was vacuum packed when it came which wouldn't be a problem except that it said hand wash, lay flat to dry. This confused me because it's 100% acrylic and as a knitter/crocheter I know that's not the usual care instructions. Nevertheless I waited way too long to wash it because I'm not putting in that effort for something I didn't make, but it was still a bit pricey for me to want to potentially ruin. I just wore it at home with it looking flat and creased and weird.Long story already way too long... It survived the washer and dryer and is better off for it. It fluffed up and didn't unravel or shrink. Very cozy now.
