I bought this for my son who is going to Germany for the winter. We ordered a size medium, expecting it to be a touch big so he can layer more clothing underneath, and it is very warm. as soon as he put it on he already noticed the warmth difference, and it looks very nice as well. it held up with no problems during transit, and wrinkles don't show for very long because of it's heaviness. This product is made with real wool, (possibly a blend with something else) but majority of wool at least. Being made of wool, it is rather heavy for its size. It has a very soft, almost silky touch for wool, but should be worn over a shirt or undershirt to avoid skin irritation. It fits as expected but is cut for a man with a broader chest, and has room for someone with a belly. the picture it has on the product is slightly deceiving, as the belly area is more open than shown, but other than that, it is a great product, which should keep you warm if layered with another article. (ie. another sweater, thick shirt, overcoat). And it looks very stylish, with the collar being easy to straighten out, it can also be turned up to cover the neck in colder conditions.Very good quality materialIt’s a well made sweater. Material doesn’t feel cheap and frail. My boyfriend loved it. Gave a 4 star only because of my disappointment in the delivery. Sweater was delivered in a clear plastic zipper bag with the delivery label pasted on. People steal clothes all the time. A small box or an opaque bag would’ve been appreciated.My fiancé was looking for a burgundy sweater to wear for Valentine's day. This one was a little more red than burgandy but fit well and he looked great!I thought it would be thicker. It's not what I think of as sweater thick, it's not paper thin though, definitely needs a shirt under.I purchased this sweater for my brother who plays golf. He is in a tournament this year. Looks like the red stitching is covering a hole. Across the chest/waist area all the way around is what looks like we’re it was folded. But it’s not, it’s like where the knitting was changed for not or different yarn. So it’s a permanent crease. Other than that, it’s thinner than I thought, but looks very nice on my son.
