I have about 7 pair of these sandals and wear them all a lot. I think they are a bit pricey but have worn some of them for about 8 years so it works out economically.I like that the innersoles can be removed and washed or replaced.Shoes are comfortable and come in many colors.I should have sent them back when I first put them on my feet. Instead, I adjusted the velcro straps (nice feature) to keep them on my feet, gripped them with my toes, and wore them around the house all day thinking I'll get used to them. My feet are killing me. Considering they're over $200 I'm utterly disgusted! The seller is great, super fast shipping and I think the product details are correct. Unfortunately I didn't correctly read the weight of the shoe. I read lots of reviews on this brand, other websites, and all the fancy European walking shoe stores rave about this shoe. I fell hard for all the hype. "I've had these for years" "best shoes ever" "feels like walking on clouds" and so...worth the price for a great shoe, right?I'm giving 2 stars for the color (beautiful soft grey color) and quality of materials - but here is where I have issues. They are made with top quality leather, but completely lacking in quality control. The removable cork insert is too small on the right shoe. It creates a gap of about 1/4 inch between the insert and sole box leaving an unsightly gap at the toe end of the shoe. A $200 pair of shoes and the insert doesn't meet the end of the toe of the right shoe? I removed it (that's one of the features, the inserts are replaceable and you can buy them separately) reinserted it, wiggled it, tried to squish it forward - nope nothing works. Just a big very noticeable black crack around the toe of the shoe. On the left shoe, the insert is too big and sticks up at the heel end of the shoe. I think I can shim the right shoe, something like a small piece of wood or cardboard at the heel to keep the insert forward, and maybe shave down the left insert to fit properly. Maybe? Maybe that would help with arch support if the inserts were where they are supposed to be? But, the kicker is - they kill my feet. I feel like I've been walking barefoot on concrete all day.The inside leather on the straps is soft and no odd poking or scratchy stitching. The velco straps are a nice feature to get a custom fit and the velcro is strong. But even with adjusting these straps all day, I either walked out of the shoe (trip hazard) or it cramped over my foot. I never could get the right combo of snugness to support, to comfort. The insert insole is hard as rock and has no shock absorption whatsoever with the cork underside. The insole has no cushion at all. It feels like I've walked on a leather lined wooden clog. No give in the shoe at all.Speaking of wooden clogs, these shoes are heavy. Very heavy. With all of the wonderful materials out there now, maybe all the positive reviewers don't know about all the truly lightweight cloud like shoe material available because they've been wearing these battle axes for years? At this price point, someone should let Finn know. They are too heavy to be comfortable as an all day shoe. They don't slap my foot and make noise, but they do tap tap tap when walking. The sole is hard rubber/plastic. You can definitely hear me coming, no sneaking around the kitchen in this shoe. There is some slight arch support, but no shock absorption at all, or flexibility in the sole. The heel height is just fine, just enough to distribute my foot forward. The right shoe has an odd angle to it that throws my heel off the edge of the shoe. I've toe kicked the right shoe on and off all day to straighten it at the heel, and adjusted the straps more times than I can count. I can't imagine anyone really walking around in these all day without sore feet and ankles. And that's exactly why I got these, to wear around the house all day, something with support and comfort and a bit of style. Now I'm wearing my recovery slides after the torture. There must be some lemming reviewing happening with this brand of shoe. I suspect some of the positive reviews are buyers remorse in disguise as who's going to admit $200 shoes aren't great. Big, costly, mistake for me.I have worn nothing but this Finn Comfort style for the past 18 years, and I have only 2 pair. They last forever! When the foot bed gets worn, you can replace them without having to buy the entire shoe again. I've only had to replace the foot beds once on one of the pairs. They are a bit pricey, but they are more than worth it. I have a very short, very wide foot, and these are the only shoes I have found that I can adjust to where they fit and feel comfortable. On those days when my feet are more swollen than usual, the velcro adjustable straps are more than adequate to allow extra room until the swelling goes down, and then they are easily re-adjustable to fit perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about the Finn Comfort style shoe...and they come in multiple color choices, too!!! I highly recommend these.I love Finn Comfort sandals and this is my second time buying this particular style. I am a 7.5 or 38 in European size. They fit perfectly. I live in Southern Nevada where we have warm weather for 8 months of the year. I wear these sandals for house shoes and slippers day and night. My order was fulfilled by Fast With Class which is an authorized Finn Comfort distributor. I received my order in perfect condition in 48 hours. I'm thinking of ordering a second pair, I love them so much. ?I've been a long time customer of Finn Comfort footware for decades, and this style has been my most favorite. So there was no reason to find an issue. Previously I had a local merchant who sold Finn Comfort, but that source no longer exists.Finn Confort is the only shoe or sandals I wear. If you have pain in your feet, you will be amazed at how much better your feet feel in a pair of Finn Comforts. They make a wonderful felt slipper that I wear inside and out in the cooler months. Worth every pennyMy wife loves these shoes for comfort and support.
