Burton Women's Hazel Jacket - Waterproof Snowboard Jacket for Winter Sports & Outdoor Adventures

Nice jacket! I did not purchase this jacket for snowboarding. I needed a warm jacket that was waterproof but not bulky, the price was right and I liked the look of it. I am a size 16 and 38D, I purchased the XL and it fit perfectly. At 5'7" with an average torso, the length is as it appears in the photo, it falls just below my butt. It is loose enough to allow for enough freedom of movement but not too loose that it will let the cold air in. Right now it is not cold enough to test its warmth adequately, but I will update my review later, good or bad. If I decide to try my hand at snowboarding, I'm set with the jacket.>> UPDATE: At almost the end of winter in my area I have used this jacket extensively for these few months. No snow (no complaints there) but lots of cold rain and ice on the ground, the jacket kept me nice and dry in addition to being warm. On extra cold days I just layered it with a light jacket or long sleeve shirt underneath and I was good to go. I like the fact that it keeps me just as warm as a thicker jacket with zip out liner that I have but is not as bulky or heavy. The faux fur on the hood is removable so I wore it most times without it, another thumbs up for that. Because of the color it also did not clash with any color beanie or scarf that I wore with it. A great purchase, I am glad I got it.I’m sooo extraordinarily pleased with this jacket!!! I absolutely love it. This was my first ever snowboarding jacket, I had no idea what to expect and I wasn’t sure it would be comfortable. Surprise! Joke’s on me! It’s sooo incredibly comfortable so soft and warm. Not scratchy or itchy at all. The soft fabric around the collar when you zip it up all the way was a supper nice touch. There are quite a few pockets too which is very nice. And obviously it has all of the important features a snowboarding jacket should have snow skirt, water proof, wind resistant etc. Also, I just LOVE the color, I got the “Jaded” which is kinda like a more subtle electric blue mixed with a happy teal. I wear a medium in most jackets and so I got the medium in this one which was most definitely the way to go. And while this is a “slim fit” there is still plenty of room for sweaters and such. It’s one heck of a jacket I couldn’t be more pleased. 5 stars, 10 out of 10, whatever measurement you prefer, it’s an epic jacket. I would recommend it to literally anyone ???I love Burton's style. This is a nice jacket for skiing - I had to get an XL based on the size chart mainly due to the narrow cut hips even though I wear an 8-10 in normal clothes, so it's pretty roomy up top. But for skiing, that's okay because you wear so much underneath and you don't want anything too constricting. I would prefer if there were a D-ring type loop somewhere to hang mittens on but you can use the pocket zippers if you need to since they zip down to close. Overall a nice jacket, it just doesn't have tons of bells and whistles.This is a great jacket. Lightweight but warm and covers my butt, which is what I was looking for since I am a snowboarder. I love the feel of it and the look of it my only complaint is all the Velcro on the outside pockets. One or two exterior pockets with no Velcro would be preferable for things needed to grab quickly like Chapstick or cell phone. Otherwise, an excellent coatThis is exactly the jacket I was looking for to get me through our moderate Idaho winters. The shell is waterproof without being stiff, the hood is roomy without being bulky, and the fit is cute without looking boxy. At 5'7"/165, the large for great with room to layer underneath. The jacket itself is light weight, but I'm sure it will be just right for the 15-45° range. The powder skirt is not removable, but that's okay.Loved the pattern and the coat was well made, but the fit wasn't quite right. I've got a very narrow frame and this coat was quite boxy on me. I returned it due to the fit I figured out in the cold it would let a lot of air inThe jacket fits perfectly and keeps me warm even in below freezing weather. However, one of the buttons fell off of the pocket the second day I had it and is too difficult to put back on.Great jacket! I was looking for something a little longer for better butt coverage - my old jacket rode up way too much when bending over to strap in. This is plenty long, and I'm 5'9"! Also had a nice relaxed fit. Easy to stuff those pockets full without having weird bulges everywhere.Got this jacket to wear in the fall and winter days. Tried it on and it is lightweight and great quality. Love the Burton brand! This jacket will be wonderful for days where you need a warm jacket that is light would be great for shopping, as I find some of my other jackets are too insulated and heavy to wear.
